Full Window Replacement: 1970s Aluminum to Low-E Vinyl in Castle Hills
Before
AfterYou see this all over Castle Hills and Terrell Heights: original 1970s aluminum single-pane windows that rattle when the wind picks up and turn the afternoon sun into a space heater. The homeowner’s west-facing living room was hitting uncomfortable temperatures by 4 p.m. every day, and the frames were so pitted from decades of San Antonio humidity that two of them no longer sealed properly. We pulled all fourteen windows, replaced them with low-E glass (a thin coating that blocks heat while letting light through) in insulated vinyl frames, and re-trimmed the exterior to match the original stucco lines. The house is quieter, the cooling bill dropped noticeably that first summer, and the rooms that used to bake now hold temperature just fine.
Window Repair: Failed Seals and Fogged Glass in Stone Oak
Before
AfterIf you can’t see through your window because moisture is trapped inside the glass, the thermal seal has failed and the insulated glass unit needs to be replaced, not cleaned. This Stone Oak home had three windows that looked like frosted shower doors year-round. We ordered new insulated glass units matched to the existing frame dimensions, swapped them out without disturbing the surrounding trim or drywall, and had the job done in a single afternoon. Every repair carries a written guarantee; if a repair fails, the second visit is free, and our 365-Day Done Right Promise backs that up, no argument needed.
Front Door Replacement: Warped Wood Door to Therma-Tru in Alamo Heights
Before
AfterA front door that sticks in the summer and lets a visible gap of daylight through in the winter is doing two things badly: wasting energy and inviting pests. This Alamo Heights house had a wood door from the 1980s that had warped so far out of square the owner had to shoulder it open when it rained. We installed a Therma-Tru fiberglass entry door with new weatherstripping, an adjustable sill, and updated hardware, and we trimmed out the threshold to close the air gap for good. The door swings with one finger now, and the entryway is finally airtight.
Window Replacement: Impact-Rated Windows on a Creek-Facing Wall in Hollywood Park

This Hollywood Park home sits near a creek line with long sightlines open to the south wind, and the original builder-grade windows had flexed visibly during a 2023 storm. The owner wanted something that would hold up if tree limbs started flying. We installed PGT impact-rated windows across the rear elevation, which are tested to resist high winds and flying debris while still carrying a clean, residential look. The glass is heavier, the frames are stiffer, and the owner says the house is noticeably calmer during the spring storm season that rolls through San Antonio every year.
Window Repair: Rotted Wood Sills and Sash Replacement in Jefferson

Houses in the Jefferson and Monticello Park areas have beautiful original character, but the Texas heat and occasional heavy rain are rough on wood sills. This 1940s house had two sills that had rotted to the point where one sash was sitting crooked in its frame and the other wouldn’t stay up without a prop. We rebuilt both sills with treated lumber, replaced the worn sash cords and springs, and installed new double-hung sashes sized to the original openings. The character is intact, the windows work properly again, and the issue is fixed at the source rather than painted over.
Door Replacement: Back Door and Patio Access in Terrell Hills

When a sliding glass door stops sliding, people usually stop using that entrance altogether. This Terrell Hills home had a patio door so bound up on its track that the owners had been going around through the garage for months. The real problem was deeper: the original frame had shifted and water had been seeping under the threshold during heavy rains. We pulled the old unit, corrected the sill and flashing, and installed a CWS sliding door that glides on its track and seals tight. The owners got their back patio back, and the leak is gone.
